SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – RepairPal.com, an online source for auto repair, has named Kristen Stanton as vice president of B2B marketing and business development. Stanton brings more than 10 years of experience across every facet of the online automotive industry. In her new role, she will develop and manage RepairPal’s industry and consumer marketing relationships to connect more car owners with the company’s growing network of RepairPal-certified Top Shops.

"Kristen’s track record of success across the evolving online auto industry, from digital marketing to lead gen to critical consumer content, shows an ongoing commitment to building value for all stakeholders, including consumers, dealers and independents," said Art Shaw, RepairPal CEO. "Kristen shares our passion for establishing RepairPal as the most trusted source for information and recommendations for auto repair. We are thrilled to have her on board."

Before joining RepairPal, Stanton provided consulting marketing services to companies including ADP Dealer Services, Dealer.com, DrivingSales, DriverSide and Advance Auto Parts. Prior to her consulting work, she was the business development director for Edmunds.com, where she managed key advertising relationships with AutoNation, Carfax, Cars.com, Experian, Geico, Progressive Insurance and others. Stanton began her career in the auto industry as the director of marketing at Dealix. Alongside Dean Evans, now CMO of Subaru of America and whom Stanton credits as her "auto industry mentor," she helped build Dealix from its early startup days to its successful acquisition by The Cobalt Group in 2004.

"RepairPal is transforming the way car owners interact with mechanics and setting the bar for trusted service by providing the best information, recommendations and tools," Stanton said. "I’m honored to join a top-notch team that is doing the right thing for car owners and rewarding the independent mechanics and dealers who are doing excellent work."

An avid supporter of environmental initiatives, Stanton also served as the marketing and grants chair for the Cleantech Open, a non-profit that advances cleantech entrepreneurship. She holds a BA in geography and a BA in English from San Francisco State University and an MBA in marketing from the University of San Francisco.

RepairPal recently announced the completion of a $13 million round of funding led by automotive industry leaders Cars.com and Castrol innoVentures. This investment will allow RepairPal to add more product enhancements and additional Top Shops to its expanding network, which has quickly grown to more than 250 shops nationwide. The investments also will allow the company to continue to build its bench of experts and executives.
