Bosch Names Roberto Rossi Director Of Workshop Technical Equipment Sales

In this capacity, Rossi will oversee all sales and service activities for Bosch service equipment in North America. Rossi joined the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket division in July of this year and is based in the Broadview, Ill., headquarters.

BROADVIEW, Ill. – Roberto Rossi has been named director, workshop technical equipment sales for Robert Bosch LLC. In this capacity, Rossi will oversee all sales and service activities for Bosch service equipment in North America. Rossi joined the Bosch Automotive Aftermarket division in July of this year and is based in the Broadview, Ill., headquarters. The announcement was made by Bobby Bloom, vice president, independent aftermarket, to whom Rossi reports.

In this new role, Rossi will direct sales activities for the Bosch portfolio of automotive diagnostic and service equipment throughout the North American aftermarket. These offerings include a wide array of shop service equipment, including diagnostic equipment ranging from hand-held scan tools to large diagnostic consoles. Also included are wheel alignment systems, wheel balancers, tire changing machines, brake lathes and air conditioning service equipment. Additionally, he will direct all service operations and programs for these same products.

Rossi brings to his new role broad experience in managing sales of vehicular service equipment. Before coming to North America, he managed sales activities for Bosch in southeast Europe. Prior to that, he served for more than 15 years in international sales positions for a leading Italian manufacturer of wheel service equipment.

“I’m very pleased to be a part of the Bosch North American Aftermarket organization,” remarked Rossi. “I look forward to meeting the challenges and opportunities in this very advanced and competitive market.”

“Bosch has greatly expanded its lines of diagnostic and service equipment in recent years,” said Bloom. “As a major supplier to automotive manufacturers worldwide, we have a keen understanding of the complex systems and components in today’s advanced vehicles. So, we have a knowledge base unmatched by other Tier 1 suppliers. As a result, we are best positioned to provide diagnostic and service equipment to automotive service providers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“Roberto brings a wealth of sales management knowledge to this new position,” continues Bloom. “His efforts will expand and enhance our outreach to repair shop owners and managers, helping equip them to diagnose and repair all the vehicles they’ll see in their service bays. Our workshop equipment, together with quality replacement parts and top-notch services positions Bosch as the premiere partner for today’s service outlets.”

Bosch’s portfolio of service equipment includes system diagnostic equipment and scan tools designed for the newest vehicle technology, including hybrid vehicles, diesel-powered vehicles and those vehicles equipped with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI). Also offered is equipment for flash reprogramming, as well as wheel alignment systems integrated with vehicle diagnostic analyzers. And the Bosch family of wheel and tire service equipment is carefully designed to handle specialty wheels and tires, as well as those for light and medium-duty trucks.
