HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. – The Collision Repair Education Foundation has announced that Clark Plucinski has been named its executive director, effective July 30, 2012. His appointment was approved by the Foundation Board of Trustees at its June 25 meeting in Kansas City.

"We are pleased to have someone of this caliber lead the Collision Repair Education Foundation going forward," said Chris Northup, chairman of the Board of Trustees. "Given Clark’s history with the Education Foundation, and his years of commitment of bringing high quality prepared technicians to our industry, Clark is a perfect fit for our organization to continue to grow and prosper in providing dollars and products to those who provide our future technicians and leaders."

Clark Plucinski has 40 years of industry experience, starting as a collision repair technician in 1970 at a major GM dealership. He was co-owner and president of BCP Auto Body Inc. from 1973 to 1996 before becoming True2Form’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. In August of 2010, True2Form was acquired by the Boyd Group. As a result of this merger, True2Form is now part of the Boyd/Gerber family and the largest collision repair chain in North America.

Plucinski has been featured in numerous national publications. He has held various board seats, including with I-CAR, the Collision Repair Education Foundation, CAPA, ASA Collision Division Committee, and also served as president of the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association. Plucinski received the I-CAR Founder’s Award and the ASA Special Achievement Award, and has been elected into “The Hall of Eagles” and was named BodyShop Business’ “Collision Shop Executive of the Year” in 1996.
