Leading U.K. Supplier Reaps the Benefits of MAM’s Warehouse Management Software

Since installing MAM's WMS solution, which supports PDA scanning and the "chaotic storage" method favored by large organizations such as Amazon, febi bilstein says it has made significant strides in efficiency and time-savings.

BARNSLEY, England — MAM Software Group Inc. and its subsidiary MAM Software Ltd., reported this week that febi UK, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive parts, has significantly improved efficiency since installing MAM’s Warehouse Management Software (WMS).
 
febi bilstein is a leading global manufacturers and suppliers of passenger car and commercial vehicle spare parts. Products range from steering, engine, braking, chassis and wheel fastening technology to vehicle electronics and rubber metal.
 
MAM’s Warehouse Management Software (WMS) module provides a real-time inventory management solution to warehouses of all sizes. Featuring a handheld PDA and scanner that integrates seamlessly with MAM’s Autopart business management application, the WMS module optimizes the flow of goods through a warehouse, managing all activities from good receiving and put-away to picking, packing and shipment, MAM says.
 
Since installing MAM’s WMS solution, which supports PDA scanning and the "chaotic storage" method favored by large organizations such as Amazon, febi says it has made significant strides in efficiency and time-savings.
 
"WMS has slashed our put-away times in half," said Paul Dodgson, head of commercial operations at febi UK. "Chaotic storage has increased our capacity by up to 30 percent and location-directed put-away via the scanning devices has massively improved our stock accuracy."
