Kids will be able to get their kicks in when Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) and Chelsea Football Club (FC) hold free youth soccer clinics in the U.S. in July and August. The clinics, open to the general public, are being held in conjunction with Chelsea’s U.S. summer tour.
The coaching clinics will take place on July 23-24 in Santa Monica, California; July 25 in Norwalk, California; July 29 in Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Aug. 1 in Minneapolis. The public can register at yokohamatire.com/chelseaclinics.
Yokohama, which also is involved with several U.S. youth soccer tournaments, will participate in the clinics given by the Chelsea coaches. “What an incredible opportunity for young soccer players,” said Alan Holtschneider, director of marketing at Yokohama Tire, the official shirt partner of Chelsea FC. “It’s not every day you get to learn from a world-class organization.”
Here for its three-game U.S. tour, Chelsea will face Liverpool FC on July 27 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California; Real Madrid on July 30 at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor; and AC Milan on Aug. 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
“Like most soccer fans, we’re really excited to see Chelsea in action here in America,” said Holtschneider. “These are going to be great games and will help promote our global partnership with Chelsea in the U.S.”
