LANSDALE, Pa. — The Climate Protection Partnership division of the U.S. EPA will be partnering with the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide for monthly informational Webinars focused on informing the mobile A/C community on environmental best practices for servicing mobile A/C systems and demystifying current and proposed regulations.
The first Webinar has been scheduled for 1 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, Dec. 10, and will discuss implications for the mobile A/C community of the proposed Waxman-Markley climate bill currently under Congressional consideration and an introduction to Section 609 of the U.S. Clean Air Act of 1990. Section 609 requires all repair technicians who work on mobile A/C systems to recover and recycle refrigerant.
MACS updated the Section 609 certification program with current service information, so even technicians already registered can learn something new by attending this Webinar or downloading the current Section 609 study guide at http://www.macsw.org/AM/Template.cfm?Section=Section_609.
To register for this first free Webinar, e-mail Pam Smith at [email protected] or call 215-631-7020 x 306.
