Tim Corcoran, managing director ZF Services, Region North America, will assist, among others, in a smooth transition of the new structure as director strategy and vision at ZF Aftermarket.
ZF Aftermarket will launch Jan. 1, 2017. Effective on this date,Corcoran will step out of his current operational responsibility and serve the unified organization as director, strategy and vision, until his retirement July 1, 2018.
Corcoran has been with ZF for more than 27 years, starting with ZF as a remanufacturing engineer. He has held a variety of additional roles in remanufacturing, sales, operations, technical service – and most recently in a range of executive management roles for the past 20 years.
Corcoran emphasized, “ZF’s conviction to change the market dynamic driven activities as well as our customer-oriented approach are key factors for ZF’s leading role in the global aftermarket. The company is well prepared for the opportunities and challenges ahead. Being part of ZF’s success story is a real source of pride and I am looking forward to support the North American team in my new role.”
In a statement, ZF thanked Corcoran for the dedication, support and accomplishments he made possible in the North American region. Corcoran was essential in the establishment of the North American region to group together the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central America and Caribbean. Corcoran was responsible for successfully merging three ZF Aftermarket organizations, the strategic growth of the ZF North American Aftermarket, successful launch of the ZF Wind Aftermarket business, and the expansion of the Mexico, Central America and Caribbean heavy commercial vehicle service support.
Helmut Ernst, head of ZF Services and future CEO of ZF Aftermarket, commented, “Tim always impressed me with his open-mindedness to new ideas, his entrepreneurial behavior and an absolute customer focus. With the customer in mind, it was important for us to retain his North American market knowledge, future technology visioning and product development expertise.”
Corcoran will continue to help guide the strategic direction of ZF in the aftermarket and stay involved with key market and customer activities. He also will continue to represent ZF in his board roles with the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association and the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association.
