OptiCat vehicle catalog data base change

OptiCat LLC Announces VCdb Change Log Feature Within OnTarget Pro

Currently, available information does not allow easy comparison to prior vehicle catalog database information and OptiCat’s new “VCdb Changes and History” tool allows complete search and comparison with prior databases. This includes filters for version comparisons; specific vehicle makes, years and models; and even a summary of all changes, if desired.

OptiCAT - LogoOptiCat LLC has introduced a helpful tool that will assist automotive aftermarket suppliers to better understand changes in the vehicle catalog data base (VCdb) as provided by the Auto Care Association.

In addition to overall changes, the tool allows drill down into specific model details that provide complete perspective on change details for each vehicle. This data can then be exported to a text format for Excel.

OptiCat’s Bryan Thueson commented, “This great new OptiCat tool will speed the analysis of changes in the vehicle data base, thereby saving time and effort on the part of the supplier catalog manager. It will also provide useful information about actual changes in vehicles year over year, making the overall understanding of the vehicle parc more complete.”

This feature is currently available at no additional fee to all users of the OptiCat OnBoard Pro suite of products. Contact OptiCat today to make it visible within your company.
