NASCAR superstar Jeff Gordon and renowned IndyCar driver Rick Mears will help kick off the world’s premier event for motorsports professionals by headlining the annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show’s grand opening breakfast on Thursday, Dec. 8, in Indianapolis.

pri-jeff-gordonHosted by MAVTV’s Dave Despain, the breakfast takes place immediately before the PRI Show opens for three days of exhibits, seminars and networking events dedicated to the business of racing and performance.

“We’re honored and excited to have Jeff Gordon and Rick Mears join us at the grand opening breakfast,” said PRI General Manager Bill Miller. “Having these two legends on stage together will be unforgettable, and a great way to kick off the 2016 PRI Show.”

With 93 NASCAR Cup Series victories to his credit, Gordon remains one of the most celebrated race car drivers of all time. The four-time Cup Series champion also counts three Daytona 500 wins and five Brickyard 400 victories among his career accomplishments.

Mears, who retired from racing in 1992, is one of the winningest drivers ever, having won the Indianapolis 500 four times, the Indy/CART Series three times and a record six pole positions in the Indy 500.

The two iconic drivers will join Despain in a casual and intimate stage setting, sharing personal stories and experiences for a captive audience of more than 3,000 industry professionals, who will be treated to breakfast while enjoying the talk show-style program.

The grand opening breakfast takes place at the Indiana Convention Center’s Sagamore Ballroom. Doors open at 7 a.m., and the program begins at 8 a.m. All PRI attendees are invited to the breakfast free of charge, but guests are advised to arrive early, as seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The PRI Show takes place Dec. 8-10, at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. More details can be found at pri2016.com.
