Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad made remarks, followed by a proclamation signing and tour of the Creative Werks facility.

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad visited Creative Werks, the exclusive North American distributor of GC high-performance fans and accessories, in an event to kick off National Veterans Small Business Week on Tuesday, Nov. 8. GC High Performance Cooling Fans owner and United States Navy veteran Bob Folkestad hosted the governor as well as Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds, U.S. Small Business Administration Iowa District Director Jayne Armstrong and members of the Iowa National Guard.

gc-logoArmstrong commented about the SBA programs and services for veterans and members of the military community, as well as the importance of veteran-owned small businesses in Iowa.

Folkestad received funding from the SBA to expand his business and to become the sole United States importer of GC High Performance Cooling Fans. “We are proud to be the first to bring GC High Performance Cooling fans into the United States,” said Folkestad. “This is a very high-quality product that we’re confident can outperform other cooling fans currently available in the market today.”

The governor’s remarks were followed by a proclamation signing and tour of the Creative Werks facility.
