DENSO Partners With CDTi On New Line Of PowerEdge Heavy-Duty OE Replacement Emissions Control Products

DENSO is showcasing the new diesel particulate filters and diesel oxidation catalyst product line at the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week 2017 trade show in Las Vegas.

Denso - LogoDENSO Products and Services Americas has partnered with Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. (CDTi), a global manufacturer of vehicle emissions control systems, to introduce a new line of aftermarket emissions control products for heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The two California-based companies announced the launch of the PowerEdge diesel aftertreatment line this week at the 2017 Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) trade show in Las Vegas.

PowerEdge diesel aftertreatment is distributed by DENSO and manufactured by CDTi. Aftertreatment products include diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs).

Available now, the all-makes OE replacement program features 60 DPF part numbers covering more than 260 OE-quality products and seven DOC part numbers for heavy-duty on-road and off-road trucks and equipment. The partners plan to expand the product line with an additional 20 DPF and 15 DOC part numbers later this year.

“DENSO is excited to partner with CDTi to meet the growing demand for OE-quality aftertreatment products in the heavy-duty trucking and equipment industry,” said Frank Jenkins, senior manager of DENSO’s Heavy Duty Marketing Group. “CDTi is a clean-tech company that shares our commitment to product reliability and durability, rigorous safety and performance standards, innovation, customer service and environmental stewardship.”

PowerEdge diesel aftertreatment replacement DPFs and DOCs match or exceed the emissions control performance and benefits of OEM replacement units when installed in 2007 and newer heavy-duty diesel equipment, according to the two companies.

Superior features include high-grade stainless steel and other materials that increase durability by resisting corrosion and preventing failures; 100 percent OEM substrates that maximize DPF performance and minimize backpressure, CDTi’s patented advanced coatings that increase catalyzation and regeneration efficiency; and “exact-fit” designs that include gaskets to meet specific application needs, reduce part numbers and streamline installation.

“Partnering with DENSO supports our continued commercial momentum in the large, fast-growing opportunity for OE-quality after-treatment solutions in North America,” said Jason Soika, CDTi’s vice president, sales and marketing. “This agreement significantly expands our reach into the multi-million-dollar market for replacement DPFs and DOCs. In addition, being selected as a supplier for DENSO further validates the quality of our OEM replacement products.”

The turnkey DPFs and DOCs are approved for horizontal, vertical and dual installation and backed by a two-year unlimited mileage warranty. Many of the components are manufactured in the U.S.

All part numbers meet strict U.S. Environmental Protection Agency emissions control regulations and are available for purchase and installation in 49 U.S. states and Canada.

For information on DENSO’s full line of commercial and heavy-duty aftermarket products, visit the DENSO exhibit at Booth 621 in the main hall. HDAW’s annual trade show is the largest gathering of independent heavy-duty aftermarket industry leaders, distributors, suppliers, service providers, educators and trade media in North America.
