Cooper Standard Names Susan Kampe As Chief Information Officer

Kampe will be responsible for leading the transformation of the company's information technology (IT) function consistent with Cooper Standard's Profitable Growth Strategy.

cooper standardCooper-Standard Holdings Inc. has announced the appointment of Susan Kampe to chief information officer (CIO) effective Dec. 1. Based at the company’s world headquarters in Novi, Michigan, Kampe will be responsible for leading the transformation of the company’s information technology (IT) function consistent with Cooper Standard’s Profitable Growth Strategy.

“Sue brings more than 20 years of executive and professional IT leadership to the Cooper Standard team and we’re excited to welcome her on board,” said Keith Stephenson, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Cooper Standard. “Known for developing and implementing high-impact, technology-enabled business solutions as well as forming high-performing teams, Sue will be a tremendous asset to the Cooper Standard team.”

Most recently, Kampe served as managing partner and founder of Zang Consulting LLC, a national business technology consulting and IT services company. In this role, she focused on providing premier expertise in business technology solutions and implementation services for large and mid-market U.S. based companies, gaining experience in a variety of industries, including automotive, manufacturing, distribution, health care, consumer services, business services and technology.

Kampe held a variety of automotive IT executive roles with Johnson Controls and Meritor (formally Arvin Meritor) for more than 10 years. From 2001 to 2008, she was vice president and general manager, IT for Johnson Controls Inc. In this role, she was responsible for IT within the Johnson Controls Automotive Group.

From 1996 to 2000, Kampe was senior vice president and CIO at Arvin Meritor. Responsible for IT throughout 67 global facilities, she also served as a corporate officer and member of the executive management team reporting to the chairman and CEO. Kampe served as director, IT strategy and development for Ford and CEO at Boston-based Fleetscape.com, an Arvin Meritor/Accel Partners venture.

Kampe earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. A recognized leader in the IT field, she is the recipient of numerous industry honors and acknowledgements, including being named to the Automotive News 100 Leading Women in the North American Automotive Industry in 2005.
