ASA To Host Webinar On U.S. DOL Overtime Rule  

The webinar will explain the implications of the new rule for mechanical and collision shops.

ASA-LogoOn June 15, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) will hold a webinar on the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Overtime Rule. The rule updates the regulations governing which executive, administrative and professional employees are entitled to the Fair Labor Standards Act’s minimum wage and overtime pay protections.

Webinar presenters will include:

  • Brian Farrington – Farrington is a shareholder and section head of Cowles & Thompson’s Employment Law Practice Group in Dallas. He will discuss the new U.S. DOL regulation and field questions during the webinar.
  • Darrell Amberson, AAM – Amberson is president of operations at LaMettry’s Collision in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and past chairman of ASA. He will discuss the impact of the new regulation on collision repair shops.
  • Ed Cushman, AAM – Cushman is president of C&H Foreign Auto Repair in Spokane, Washington, and general director on ASA’s board of directors. Cushman will discuss the impact of the new regulation on mechanical repair shops.
