Advance Auto Parts Names John Hanighen Vice President, Commercial Marketing

Prior to joining Advance, Hanighen served as president and CEO of Rostra Precision Controls Inc., an ISO 9001 certified leading manufacturer of powertrain electrical components and automotive accessories to the original equipment and aftermarket sales channels. Prior to Rostra, he served in multiple leadership roles at NAPA, last serving as the vice president of commercial marketing. Prior to that, he served as director of commercial sales at AutoZone.

ROANOKE, Va. – Advance Auto Parts has announced the appointment of John Hanighen to vice president, commercial marketing. Hanighen will be responsible for all of the marketing elements necessary to support the growth of the company’s commercial business, including refining and articulating the company’s value proposition and brand. Hanighen will report to Jim Durkin, senior vice president, commercial business, and will be based in Roanoke, Va.

Prior to joining Advance, Hanighen served as president and CEO of Rostra Precision Controls Inc., an ISO 9001 certified leading manufacturer of powertrain electrical components and automotive accessories to the original equipment and aftermarket sales channels. Prior to Rostra, he served in multiple leadership roles at NAPA, last serving as the vice president of commercial marketing. Prior to that, he served as director of commercial sales at AutoZone. Hanighen has a MBA in management and finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a BBS in accounting and finance from California State University in San Francisco.
