WIX Filters Sponsors Multiple Industry Awards For 2015

In collaboration with Babcox Media, awards recognize highest levels of excellence in the automotive industry.

Wix-Award-logosGASTONIA, N.C. – WIX Filters, a global manufacturer of filtration products, is sponsoring the 2015 Counter Professional of the Year, School of the Year and Driving Performance award programs. In collaboration with Babcox Media, these awards recognize excellence in the automotive industry, from students to professionals.

“WIX wouldn’t exist without dedicated countermen, passionate students and superior automotive shops,” said Jennifer Gibson, brand manager for WIX Filters. “These programs cultivate future generations of automotive leaders and raise the bar on the industry itself. We’re excited to be partnering again with Babcox and can’t wait to see how this year’s nominees shine.”

Entering its eighth year of sponsorship, WIX continues as a presenting sponsor of the Counter Professional of the Year award, which recognizes an automotive aftermarket parts professional who goes above the call of duty; continually seeks out education for him/herself; is an example of the consummate parts professional; and is an ambassador for the aftermarket. The winner and a guest will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas, including three nights at one of the city’s top hotel-casinos, and they will also attend the WIX Filters and Babcox Media Night of Excellence recognition dinner at AAPEX, the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo, held in November. The deadline to enter is Friday, July 31. For more information, visit www.counterman.com.

Recognizing the best technical training schools in the U.S., this honor is open to any high school or post-secondary institution that currently has a subscription to Tomorrow’s Tech (in print or online). The winning school will be visited by Tomorrow’s Tech staff and program sponsors and receive a $2,500 WIX Filters donation to the school’s program, as well as O’Reilly Auto Parts and WIX Filters gear (hats, backpacks, key chains, shop banners, T-shirts and product samples). The class instructor and a guest will get to travel to Las Vegas to attend Babcox Media’s recognition dinner at AAPEX in November. The deadline is Friday, Aug. 14, and schools can be nominated here.

The Driving Performance award, entering its second year, recognizes game changers in automotive service. The winning shop is recognized as truly revolutionizing the customers’ vehicle repair experience – from start to finish. The shop owner and a guest will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas in November, and also will attend the WIX Filters and Babcox Media Night of Excellence recognition dinner at AAPEX. The deadline to enter is Tuesday, Sept. 1 and shops can enter or be nominated here.
