Lauren Thigpen’s career in the aftermarket started right after graduating from Rutgers University. Throughout her career, her goals have always been to recognize the needs of her customers, work to gain their trust and provide a solution that works best for their business. She offers this advice: “Be confident in what you know, be kind to others and listen before speaking.”
One of her proudest career moments is winning Autologue’s “Employee of the Year” award, which is voted on by the customers, the past four years in a row. She feels that accolades like this are not possible without a great team alongside you.
“If you are a woman who wants to excel in the automotive aftermarket, GO FOR IT,” Thigpen affirms. “Make sure you aren’t afraid to have your voice heard. The only wrong idea is the one that you keep to yourself.”
