wai-hq-miramarWAI, a leading manufacturing, sourcing and distribution company of rotating electrical, ignition, window regulator, and engine management products, has relocated its corporate headquarters to Miramar, Florida. WAI now has more than 36,000 square feet to accommodate its center of operations, including a 14,000-square-foot regional distribution center and a 2,000-square-foot engineering laboratory. This news follows the recent increase in manufacturing space within the Transpo facility in Shanghai.

“This move enables our Transpo electronics as well as our U.S. product and engineering team to be centralized as well as have room for continued growth,” said Doug Moul, chief operating officer and president. “Miramar’s Park of Commerce is on the border of Dade and Broward counties, providing WAI the best opportunity for attracting the finest talent across South Florida to accommodate growth.”

WAI will continue to operate manufacturing and distribution operations in Canada, North America, South America, Europe and China.

WAI says its customers across the world trust the company to provide ready access to quality products across the automotive, heavy-duty, agricultural, industrial, marine and power sports segments of the market. With the new Miramar location, WAI will be better equipped to exceed the ever-changing needs of its customers throughout the global aftermarket, the company stated.

“We are very excited about the recent relocation,” said Ryan Moul, senior vice president of operations. “Continued investment is being made into the expansion of the Transpo electronics product range to compliment the expansion of the electrical units we continue to develop and bring to the market. Our Technical and Research departments in the United States will work to strengthen the Transpo electronics facility empowering us to produce market-leading products.”
