WABCO Reman Solutions Expands Global Capability

Company reports that it has become the first and only licensed supplier in China to remanufacture air compressors for commercial vehicles.

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM and AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – WABCO Holdings Inc., a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, reports that is has continued to expand its global remanufacturing capability as the company was recently granted a license by Chinese authorities to remanufacture air compressors in China for commercial and off-highway vehicles. WABCO is the first and only supplier in China authorized to conduct this type of remanufacturing activity, the company states.
 
WABCO made this announcement last week in Amsterdam at ReMaTec 2013, a leading global trade exhibition for remanufacturing in the automotive and heavy-duty vehicle industry.
 
WABCO Reman Solutions is remanufacturing air compressors locally for China National Heavy Truck Corporation (CNHTC) and for WABCO’s customers in the independent aftermarket in China. WABCO expects to expand its remanufacturing scope in China to add other products, subject to government approvals.
 
Formed in 2010, WABCO Reman Solutions specializes in remanufacturing electronic and mechatronic components as well as traditional mechanical products made by WABCO and other manufacturers. WABCO’s remanufactured products serve original equipment makers as well as tier-one and tier-two suppliers in North America, Europe and China.
