MIDLAND, MI — Effective e-commerce requires thorough understanding of aftermarket industry standards. In an effort to enhance member knowledge of ACES, PIES and other industry initiatives, the University of the Aftermarket is offering Industry Standards for Aftermarket e-Commerce training.
The training is hosted by Delphi Automotive Systems and will take place Sept. 27-28, 2005 in Troy, MI. Instructors include Scott Luckett of AAIA, Ed Heon of Comergent Technologies, Inc. and Doug Winsby of Winsby Group, LLC.
Developed in conjunction with AAIA’s Technology Standards & Solutions Committee, the two-day program will provide comprehensive industry standards implementation training. On the first day, attendees will learn best practices for formatting electronic catalog data to meet the needs of leading aftermarket retailers and e-CAT companies, as well as techniques for making the conversion from the legacy standard to ACES. Day two will cover the PIES format and design, data synchronization and the relationship between PIES and ACES. The course instruction also includes interactive data exercises. Participants can earn up to 1.4 CEUs toward AAP or MAAP designation.
