University Of The Aftermarket Foundation Welcomes New Lifetime Trustee: Richard And Lisa Beirne

As a lifetime trustee, Richard Beirne will serve on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation’s board of trustees.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) has announced Richard and Lisa Beirne as a new lifetime trustee, thanking them for their generous support of the foundation.

“We feel very fortunate to be part of the aftermarket community; and as a way to give back to an industry that has been so good to us, we are proud to support the University of the Aftermarket Foundation,” said Richard Beirne, MAAP, Automotive Parts Headquarters. “Our business relies on well-trained people throughout the supply chain who are able to adapt to changing technologies, so industry education is critical to our collective success. By supporting the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, we can help ensure that scholarships and educational opportunities are available to those preparing for an aftermarket career.”

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation lifetime trustee designation is reserved for those donating $100,000 to $249,999 to support the foundation’s mission of providing scholarships and educational opportunities to the next generation of industry leaders.

As a lifetime trustee, Richard Beirne will serve on the University of the Aftermarket Foundation’s board of trustees. Throughout his career, he has been an active industry advocate, earning his MAAP designation from the University of the Aftermarket and participating in many industry organizations, including the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA), where he served as its longtime treasurer, was a member of the board of governors for many years and spent a term as chairman. Beirne’s company, United Auto Supply in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, was founded in 1958 and following the sale in 2014 to Minnesota-based Automotive Parts Headquarters, Beirne joined the company as vice president of corporate development.

“On behalf of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, we thank Dick and Lisa for their generous support,” said Bob Egan, MAAP, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. “The Beirnes have always given back to the industry with their time and expertise, so it is no surprise that they have chosen to help ensure a bright future for the aftermarket through education.”

To support the mission of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, interested parties are encouraged to send a check made payable to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation to 7101 Wisconsin Ave., Suite 1300, Bethesda, MD 20814 or visit UofAFoundation.com to donate online.
