BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec – Uni-Select Inc. has opened a new Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Avon, Mass.

The new 104,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility, with its new ERP software, is designed to optimize efficiency and provide greater product range and availability for customers in New England and Eastern New York. Customers in the region will have access to more than 96,000 SKUs and more than $9 million worth of inventory, available on a next-day basis. Operations at the new facility are handled by a team of 70 people.

The opening is part of the Corporation’s Action Plan introduced on July 11, 2013, aimed at improving performance and delivering higher service rates. This is the second RDC Uni-Select has opened in the past 12 months, following last January’s opening of a new RDC in Washington, D.C. Uni-Select says it will consolidate the region’s distribution activities, improve its product availability and deliver a higher level of service to its customers in the region with this new location.
