Uni-Select Awards Nearly $550,000 To The Mira Foundation In 8 Years

The Mira Foundation offers, among other services, the opportunity for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to benefit from the services of an assistance dog. The implementation of this program follows several years of extensive research of these dogs within families.

Uni-Select - Mira FoundationAs part of its golf tournament, Uni-Select recently raised more than $100,000 for the Mira Foundation. With this recent donation, over the past eight years, Uni-Select will have awarded a sum close to $550,000 to the foundation.

This year’s annual event took place on June 11 at the Golf Club La Vallée du Richelieu and was again huge success thanks to the contribution and generosity of its main sponsors, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, Total Canada, McCarthy-Tétrault & Barnes & Thornburg, as well as the participation of its business partners and 150 golfers.

“It is with great pride that we rallied our business partners to support the activities of the Mira Foundation. For eight years now, we have been collaborating with the foundation to assist in their pursuit of their mission to develop the program for children with Pervasive Developmental Disorder. We are pleased to contribute to the well-being of children,” said Denis Mathieu, executive vice president, corporate services and chief financial officer of Uni-Select and vice president of the board of directors of the Mira Foundation.
