Transtar Industries Announces Winners of Powertrain Expo Contest

The 2010 Powertrain Expo, held Sept. 9-12 at the San Antonio Convention Center, was hosted by the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA).

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Transtar Industries has announced the winners of its Powertrain Expo contest. To coincide with Transtar’s 2010 advertising campaign, “Commitment is More than Skin Deep,” the company held a contest whereby attendees could register to win a leather jacket with an embroidered Transtar logo and Seal of Quality.

The drawing prize winners are Steve Hotz of AAMCO in Fort Smith, Ark., Robert Papale of Summit Transmission in Union, N.J., and Rene Panameno of Peninsula Transmission in San Bruno, Calif.

Hotz traveled nearly 600 miles to attend the Powertrain Expo this year for the first time.

“I decided to go because the content really appealed to my rebuilder and I,” says Hotz. “I was impressed to see that help of all kind is available. With the caliber of information I received; I went back to my shop pumped up and with ideas to help my shop run better.”

The 2010 Powertrain Expo, held Sept. 9-12 at the San Antonio Convention Center, was hosted by the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA). With more than 1,000 people in attendance this year – from ATRA member shops to industry suppliers – the Powertrain Expo featured seminars focusing on a mixture of technical and management topics.

“The floor this year was abuzz with enthusiasm – it was great to see such interest,” said Jim Berry, vice president of marketing at Transtar. “We are passionate about supporting and promoting all educational initiatives throughout the industry and look forward to many continued years of partnership and mutual support.”
