Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. was recently recognized by Ford Motor Co. as a preferred supplier and has been awarded the prestigious Ford Q1 award. Toyo earned the award in recognition of its superior product quality, high reliability, exceptional materials and dependable supply chain management.

Toyo-Tires-LogoThe Ford Q1 award is internationally acknowledged as an indication of extraordinary quality and is only granted to those suppliers that have proven capabilities well beyond ISO/TS16949 automotive certification requirements and meet Ford’s stringent quality standards. In order to qualify for the award, Toyo was required to undergo rigorous audits, ensuring that the company continuously met Ford’s criteria.

“We are extremely pleased to have earned the Ford Q1 Award and consider it an acknowledgement of Toyo’s never-ending pursuit of its customer-focused mission,” said Steve Wesner, senior director of quality at Toyo. “This achievement is the direct result of our team members’ success in providing customers the highest-quality products that exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Toyo has supplied original equipment tires to Ford since April 2014.
