Toyo Tire Breaks Ground For Expansion Of U.S. Manufacturing Plant And Warehouse

New location will add 650 new jobs in Georgia.

WHITE, Ga. – Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing broke ground for a 700,000-square-foot addition to its 2 million-square-foot tire manufacturing plant in White, Ga. The company plans to expand its warehouse portion of the facility by 323,000 square feet to accommodate increasing demand for Toyo Tires.  
The Honorable Nathan Deal, Gov. of Georgia, and Jim Hawk, president, Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc., at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 1-million square foot expansion of Toyo Tires' state-of-the-art tire manufacturing plant and warehouse.
 
Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. of Osaka, Japan, is investing $371 million in the company’s expansion over the next four years. This investment will result in the creation of 650 new jobs.
 
The company first broke ground on the location in 2004. Since then, it has experienced three expansion projects, which has doubled the size of the facility.
