RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC Tom Gallagher, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Genuine Parts Inc., and Michael Cardone Jr., chairman and CEO of CARDONE Industries and past chairman of MEMA, will address the theme of “Leadership in a Changing Global Aftermarket,” at the second annual AASA Breakfast, which takes place at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 — the opening day of the 2006 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
“We initiated the AASA Executive Breakfast in 2005 at AAPEX, and it was a great success,” said AASA Executive Director Steve Handschuh. “The insights of these two recognized industry visionaries at this year’s event will firmly establish the AASA Executive Breakfast as the official kick-off to the world’s largest annual aftermarket trade event.”
The two industry leaders will address the challenges and opportunities of the domestic and global automotive aftermarket at the event, which takes place at the Sands Expo Center . The breakfast is sponsored by Ernst & Young.
Handschuh will open the meeting by addressing the state of the aftermarket industry and recent AASA initiatives. Following the keynote presentations of Gallagher and Cardone, the three speakers will answer questions from the crowd.
