TMD Friction And SW-Stahl To Create New Textar Tools

According to the company, these tools are optimized for the requirements of the trade and repair shops, and offer the well-known high Textar quality for professional use.

LUXEMBURG/LEVERKUSEN – Brake friction specialist TMD Friction has signed a sales cooperation agreement covering brake tools for the aftermarket with SW-Stahl, a manufacturer of automotive tools. As a result of this cooperation, TMD Friction will extend its Textar product range and now also offer brake tools under the Textar brand name worldwide.

According to the company, these tools are optimized for the requirements of the trade and repair shops, and offer the well-known high Textar quality for professional use.

"The agreement with SW-Stahl extends our product range and offers the trade and workshops the opportunity to completely equip themselves with Textar products in the brake sector. The new range offers the first Textar brake tools worldwide. Our products in the aftermarket are synonymous for OE quality, safety, optimum braking comfort and a long service life. In SW-Stahl, we have found a partner that also fulfills these high quality requirements and provides a useful addition to our well-proven portfolio," said David Baines, president, strategic business unit aftermarket at TMD Friction.

"We are very pleased about the excellent cooperation with SW-Stahl. Both companies can only profit from their mutual know-how. The aim is to enable the workshop specialist to replace modern brake components quickly, safely and easily," added Baines.

"Textar is one of the world’s leading brands for brake friction products and a driving force in the aftermarket. Therefore, we hope this partnership will lead to a further increase in the sale of our automotive tools," said Heiner Tilly, managing director of SW-Stahl.
