The Group CEO Larry Pavey Speaks at MEMA OE Service Summit

Pavey’s presentation was entitled “Warehouse Distributors: Growing Business with OE Dealers."

Larry Pavey, CEO of the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group), was a featured speaker at the recent MEMA OE Service Summit held at the Michigan State University Management Education Center in Troy, Michigan.

Pavey’s presentation, entitled “Warehouse Distributors: Growing Business with OE Dealers,” focused on strategies for expanding business opportunities through partnerships between warehouse distributors and original equipment dealers. In addition to Pavey, John Washbish, president and CEO of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, attended and participated in the discussion and The Group was well represented with Pavey, Washbish and executives from Parts Authority and Fisher Auto Parts in attendance.

“Our presentation focused on how our members are committed to servicing the OES market with premium brand name products often from OEM manufacturers,” said Pavey. “Many of our members provide products to all segments of the market, including heavy duty, collision, fleet and municipality, national accounts, agriculture and off highway, along with car dealers and independent shops.

“Members of The Group can provide parts and information for all makes, providing car dealers with a source for any repair or used car that may not be the brand they sell,” Pavey added. “With the average age of vehicles growing to over 12.7 years old, there is a need for an ‘aftermarket’ solution for many repairs, and the options and competitive pricing provided by members of The Group can be an asset to car dealers and other customers,” Pavey concluded.

The MEMA OE Service Summit is the industry’s only OES-focused gathering, exclusively designed for manufacturers, OE dealers, WDs, automakers and other key players in the field. The Summit provides attendees the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of professionals and gain valuable insights into the industry’s latest trends and developments.
