PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL — TBC Corp. hired former Michelin North America marketing executive Erik Olsen to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief marketing officer. In that capacity, Olsen, 41, will oversee TBC’s various brands, with “immediate focus” on its retail operations including Big O, Tire Kingdom, Merchants Tire and NTB.
According to TBC, Olsen will report directly to TBC President and CEO Larry Day, and will also work closely with TBC’s various marketing and advertising groups.
Olsen was formerly vice president of sales for Michelin North America’s passenger and light truck tire group, and had served in a number of senior sales and marketing posts with MNA since he joined the tiremaker in 1997. Prior to that, Olsen held various marketing positions with Ralston Purina and Proctor & Gamble.
