The new directors will take office Tuesday, Oct. 27, during the annual membership meeting held via Zoom.
Highlighting TIA’s 2021 activities will be a 100th Anniversary Gala Celebration at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hotel and casino on Nov. 1, 2021.
Election results will be announced in mid-September with the new board members taking office at TIA’s annual meeting in November in Las Vegas.
Nominations should be submitted no later than 5 p.m. EDT on May 4, 2020.
Gilliland will discuss how the conscious choices people make every day impact the lives of others.
During a conference call earlier this summer, the council developed a new EAC mission statement, which is: “To identify recycled manufactured products and environmentally sustainable practices within the tire and rubber industry and promote them through outreach (community, industry, stakeholder) and education.”
The new directors will take office on Monday, Nov. 4, during the annual membership meeting at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. They will join an additional 13 directors to make up the association’s 18-member board.
The event will take place Feb. 19-22, 2020, at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California, near Palm Springs.
The recipients will be recognized at the Tire Industry Honors event in Las Vegas.
In his new role, Zielasko will be responsible for coordinating the association’s communications activities to its membership and to the tire industry community as well as promoting TIA’s many offerings centering around tire safety and political lobbying.
Voting is open to all eligible TIA members in good standing. Online voting will open Monday, July 15. Election materials will be mailed to the primary contacts at all eligible TIA member companies. The results of the election will be announced in mid-September with the new board members taking office on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at TIA’s annual meeting during the Global Tire Expo in Las Vegas.
