T/CCI Manufacturing Opens New Compressor Facility in China

T/CCI Manufacturing has started production of heavy duty swash plate compressors in its new facility in Ningbo, China. The new operation, a wholly owned subsidiary, is called TCCI (Ningbo) Manufacturing Ltd. The modern factory and offices in Ningbo, complete with living quarters, consists of 50,000 square feet (5,000 square meters).

DECATUR, Ill. — T/CCI Manufacturing has started production of heavy duty swash plate compressors in its new facility in Ningbo, China. The new operation, a wholly owned subsidiary, is called TCCI (Ningbo) Manufacturing Ltd.

The modern factory and offices in Ningbo, complete with living quarters, consists of 50,000 square feet (5,000 square meters). Six-cylinder and 10-cylinder compressors are manufactured at this site with displacements ranging from 82cc to 313cc. A new, large 380cc size, which will be manufactured in China, is being developed at T/CCI’s R&D facility in Decatur, Ill.

Compressors made in Ningbo are the QP08, QP13, QP15, QP16, QP21 and QP31 models. The new Silver Rhino compressor, with a displacement of 178cc is also produced at this facility. High-quality compressors are sold under both the T/CCI and Que Products labels.

The city of Ningbo was chosen for the new site for its clean air quality, skilled workforce and large seaport. Currently, the Ningbo operation has 70 employees and this will increase as production continues to ramp up. Also produced at this facility are small engine carburetors sold under the Tillotson brand.

According to T/CCI, western management philosophies and manufacturing processes will be combined with Chinese low-cost advantages to offer customers the greatest possible value. The motto of TCCI Ningo is “Quality is our Priority.”
