HILLSBORO, N.H. Sylvania says everything iPad and iPhone users need to know about replacement automotive lighting is now at their fingertips with the new, free SYLVANIA iPad and enhanced iPhone apps. To help quickly guide users to specific information, these apps feature an intuitive interface with enhanced vehicle filtering, according to the automotive lighting manufacturer.
The SYLVANIA Headlight apps were designed to serve as complete reference tools, helping users quickly and easily find the correct replacement part numbers for their vehicle’s headlights, taillights and all other automotive lighting accessories. In addition, users can learn about the entire line of SYLVANIA products with performance photos and descriptions, view how-to videos on the SYLVANIA YouTube channel and connect with the brand through Facebook, Twitter and a customer service link.
"These apps were designed to be really useful tools for everyone do-it-yourself consumers, automotive lighting installers, independent mechanics, small shop owners and auto parts store personnel," said Joe Verbanic, marketing manager for SYLVANIA Automotive Lighting. "They allow users to be empowered with the information and know-how they need at the touch of a button."
Developed by Fastrak Retail, the Headlight by SYLVANIA app for iPhones, an upgrade from last year’s app, and the new Headlight for iPad app, both include a navigational dashboard home screen that easily guides users to the information they need. Users can select a year, make and model to be shown a detailed listing of all replacement bulbs available for that particular vehicle along with a description and product performance photography.
"These apps include all replacement bulb information for model years 1958 through 2011 along with our newest product, SilverStar zXe headlights," said Verbanic. "Whether you are looking for replacements for your classic car or want to upgrade lighting on your new vehicle, we’ve got it."
Users can download the apps using just a cell signal, and the replacement part guide can be accessed without Internet access or cell phone reception, making these apps completely mobile, Sylvania says. Internet connectivity is needed for some key areas of the app, such as the media section, which offers links to all of the SYLVANIA online social platforms and the "All About SYLVANIA" section, which connects directly to specific sections on the company’s website.
To highlight the benefits and functionality of the app, SYLVANIA has created a tutorial video available on its YouTube channel.
Headlight by SYLVANIA is available to download on iTunes for free.
