Standard Motor Products Releases 33 New Parts For TechSmart

The release includes three new product categories and expands coverage through the 2016 model year by more than 30 million additional VIO.

Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has announced the addition of 33 new part numbers to its TechSmart line. The release includes three new product categories and expands coverage through the 2016 model year by more than 30 million additional VIO.

smp-techsmartTechSmart continues to bring OE improvements to market, as evidenced by its new fuel pump driver module, says the company. Featuring an upgrade to the OE design, the new module fits popular Ford applications and covers 6 million VIO. Two other new categories announced include inverter coolant pumps and OE-match power running board motors.

In addition to introducing three new categories, TechSmart continues to make expansions to critical lines, including 10 park assist sensors, six fuel level sensors and five electronic throttle bodies. In total, TechSmart’s line of new electronic throttle bodies numbers more than 150 units covering 65 million VIO.

Commenting on the news, Phil Hutchens, vice president of engine management marketing, SMP, stated, “TechSmart has always been committed to making technicians’ jobs easier, whether it’s by introducing new products, expanding key lines, or – as this latest release demonstrates – both.”
