Standard Motor Products Receives 2005 Partnership Award from Pronto

Standard Motor Products has received the 2005 Partnership Award from National Pronto Association in recognition of its commitment over the past 12 months to helping Pronto shareholders and the group’s main office achieve success.

LONG ISLAND CITY, NY — Standard Motor Products has received the 2005 Partnership Award from National Pronto Association in recognition of its commitment over the past 12 months to helping Pronto shareholders and the group’s main office achieve success.

“We would like to thank National Pronto Association and its shareholders for supporting and selling our products,” said John Nodson, Standard Motor Products’ director of marketing. “It is an honor to receive this award and to be a preferred vendor for such a fine organization.”

Standard Motor Products has been a supplier to National Pronto Association for more than 20 years, providing Standard and BWD Engine Management and Wire & Cable, Four Seasons Temperature Control and Hayden Cooling products. Standard was one of the first vendors to sign with National Pronto Association, as well as its original preferred line of Engine Management products, when the group started in 1979.

Several representatives from Standard Motor Products accepted the 2005 Partnership Award during National Pronto Association’s annual fall meeting, held recently in Chicago. They included Don Herring, vice president sales; Ken Wendling, zone manager; and Garey Lange, director of program distribution.

“This award confirms that our customers still acknowledge that the sales and training support that Standard offers is valuable to them,” said Nodson. “Our sales people work diligently with the Pronto customers at the WD, jobber and service dealer levels, assisting in training, selling and servicing our product lines. This award is a validation and a thank you from the Pronto shareholders for the ‘value added’ service and hard work that our sales people perform in the field. The Partnership Award is much appreciated and will hang on the wall in our corporate office in Long Island City, NY.”
