SPEEDcat Launches New Version of Web-based eCat Software

Next generation Web-based software properly catalogs data into e-commerce-ready solution to help automotive specialty equipment parts manufacturers increase sales.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Digital Performance Inc. (DPI) has launched a completely new version of its Web-based eCataloging software, SPEEDcat 4.0, which enables companies to easily create data that is compliant with today’s evolving data standards and with distributors’ current requirements.

“Without good data, it doesn’t matter how great your parts perform,” said Gigi Ho, founder of Digital Performance Inc. “In this industry, we estimate sales increases of at least 30 percent when companies have their data properly catalogued.”

SPEEDcat was redesigned to simplify the task of creating industry compliant product data that can be converted and exported in industry standardized formats ACES and PIES and pre-programmed re-seller formats such Summit, JEGS,  MotorState, AutoZone and many others. This standardized data is then ready to be distributed with the click of a mouse. The result is a shorter time to market and a reduced chance of a product being returned.

The new SPEEDcat 4.0 has a rebuilt infrastructure and database, a sophisticated data loading feature that allows companies to load data faster and more accurately, and an improved easy-to-use cataloging interface. Data can be managed in two ways: 1) purchase the licensed software and maintain the data internally or 2) employ Digital Performance’s experienced data management team to handle the loading and updates. Either way, the data created is owned, maintained, distributed and controlled by the parts manufacturer.
