RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. The Fuel Pump Manufacturers Council (FPMC) of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) has announced its newest member: Spectra Premium Industries of Boucherville, Quebec, Canada, a leading supplier of fuel pump modules and hanger assemblies.
Spectra Premium Industries joined the AASA Fuel Pump Manufacturers Council to work with the automotive aftermarket’s leading fuel pump suppliers to educate the industry on proper diagnostics of fuel systems and fuel pumps with the goal of minimizing the amount of non-legitimate fuel pump warranty returns.
“We support the AASA Fuel Pump Manufacturers Council’s effort to rid the industry from non-legitimate fuel pump warranty returns,” said Jason Best, Spectra’s vice president of aftermarket sales and marketing. “We look forward to working with our fellow Council members on this vital industry effort.”
The AASA Fuel Pump Manufacturers Council provides information to repair professionals and jobber stores on diagnostic and repair procedures and proper hazardous material handling procedures. Its Web site, www.fuelpumpinfo.org, serves as an industry resource for more information. The FPMC’s goal for 2010 is to develop multimedia training content that will be accessible through its Web site on various aspects of fuel system repair.
