SKF Develops High Performance Bearings for New Ferrari Vehicles

SKF announced this week it will produce high performance hub bearing units for the new Ferrari F430 and Superamerica Convertible. SKF has had a long-standing relationship with Ferrari in the development of bearings and seals for both its road and racing vehicles. Since 1947, SKF has worked with Formula One’s Scuderia Ferrari. The Scuderia Ferrari F1 machines contain over 150 bearings and seals designed and manufactured exclusively by SKF.

PLYMOUTH, MI — SKF announced this week it will produce high performance hub bearing units for the new Ferrari F430 and Superamerica Convertible.

SKF has had a long-standing relationship with Ferrari in the development of bearings and seals for both its road and racing vehicles. Since 1947, SKF has worked with Formula One’s Scuderia Ferrari. The Scuderia Ferrari F1 machines contain over 150 bearings and seals designed and manufactured exclusively by SKF.

According to SKF, the hub bearing units help improve vehicle handling through increased hub stiffness that supports the high forces produced during cornering for these Ferrari vehicles.

MEYLE Expands Electronics and Sensor Portfolio by Over 300 References

Hamburg-based manufacturer MEYLE announced it is expanding its portfolio of electronic and sensor spare parts by more than 300 references "to meet the demand from independent repair shops for high-quality and precisely fitting parts." The focus is on assistance systems and engine and transmission management, with more than 300 new part numbers in the pipeline, as well as the expansion of its product range specifically for electric vehicles, the company said.
