ST. PAUL, Minn. — SKF/Chicago Rawhide recently announced the winner of its Pole Position Grand Prize Give away at a special event in St. Paul, Minn. Don Konsela, Sr., an Arkansaw, Wis., resident, drove home in a 2004 Stage 3 Roush Performance Mustang.
As a member of the SKF/CR Pole Position program, Konsela was entered into a sweepstakes drawing to win the grand prize Mustang. The SKF/CR Pole Position program offers technicians training resources and incentive opportunities for installing SKF and CR products.
The winner was chosen via random drawing from a total pool of over 4,000 entries. The drawing, by NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver, Jeff Burton, took place at an SKF Racing hospitality event at Texas Motor Speedway. SKF/CR has been a major associate sponsor on Jeff Burton’s No. 99 Roush Racing Ford for seven seasons. During the first half of the 2004 season, SKF served as the primary sponsor for two races.
“The Pole Position program has been successful in keeping technicians informed about the latest technology in the automotive aftermarket,” says Per Jacobsson, marketing communications director, SKF/CR Americas. “As a technical leader in the industry, we strive to provide our technicians with a technical edge, ultimately resulting in a more profitable business.”
Members of SKF/CR’s Pole Position program enjoy access to training, failure analysis guides, service tips, and other information so technicians can successfully install SKF bearings and CR seals. Additionally, as a member of the Pole Position program, technicians have the opportunity to earn prizes. With each qualifying SKF and CR product installed, technicians can redeem the product bar codes for various items, including gift certificates for industry-related products and components, as well as for NASCAR-related merchandise.
