TROY, MI — The University of the Aftermarket has developed an executive leadership education program for the automotive aftermarket industry. Leadership 2.0 has been designed to be a stimulating and intensive two-week learning experience based on the theories and practical application of leadership principals.
Leadership 2.0 consists of two five-day sessions, as well as a team project due at the start of the second session in April 2007. The top two teams will have the opportunity to “battle it out” at the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium in May 2007.
The full program consists of two sessions: Session I, Tools for Leadership, takes place Sept. 17-22 and Session II, Leadership and Influence, will be held April 15-20, 2007. Both sessions will be held at Northwood University in Troy, MI.
Session I will explore the following subjects:
The World is Flat Presentation and Discussion;
Leadership for Turbulent Times;
Processing the Emotional Intelligence Instrument;
Case Assignments & Discussions;
Accelerating Change through Innovation;
Consumer Behavior/Customer Satisfaction;
Global Economics;
Meyers-Briggs for Teams;
Finance Management for Non-Financial Managers I;
Writing/Communications I;
Line of Business Strategy;
Project Team Assignments.
This program is intended for those individuals who work throughout the industry, from the manufacturer, to the end user of our products. Leadership 2.0 is designed so that the participants will have the opportunity to interact with all the levels of the supply chain.
Participants will earn 6.0 CEU’s with 4.0 General and 2.0 in their areas of concentration. Leadership 2.0 is required for those individuals seeking their Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional designation (MAAP).
Participants must attend both sessions of Leadership 2.0 to receive credit towards MAAP. Tuition for this two-week program is $4,995, which includes your hotel and meals. There will be some partial scholarships available, more information soon on this topic.
