DIAMOND BAR, CA — SEMA will enhance its upcoming Spring Expo (SSE) and OFFROAD Show (SOR) by offering a series of educational seminars and tutorials specifically geared for the professional installer or retailer. Scheduled for March 23-24, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA seminars will focus on a number of key topics, emphasizing those most important to retailers and other automotive specialty equipment entrepreneurs who want to grow their business.

Keynote Speaker Bill Cordingley, of Cordingley Communications, will lead the seminar "Reading Your Customer’s Face to Discover What They Really Want and Like." This seminar will provide insight on how to read potential customer’s facial expressions, build customer service, and develop profitable long-term relationships. Cordingley holds two Masters Degrees from Columbia University in business and journalism and is the author of, "In Your Face: What Facial Features Reveal about the People You Know and Love."
Tom Shay, CSP (Certified Speaking Professional), will present two seminars: "Team Up for Success: Getting Extraordinary Results from Ordinary People" and "Cashflow Management Secrets Your Accountant Never Shared." The first seminar discusses how to bring out the best in key employees. This session delivers the essential elements to go from a good team member to an A-level player. The second seminar discusses why 54 percent of small businesses that fail are actually profitable when they close down, and how to prevent your business from becoming part of this statistic. Shay has been featured in over 60 publications and is the author of several books.
The association’s Light Truck Accessory Alliance (LTAA) will sponsor roundtable discussions with manufacturers, retailers, and installers on a variety of hot topics, including Tactics to Increase Sales, HR/Employee Incentives, Websites, Installations, and Brainstorming Session with Industry Manufacturers.
The SSE/SOR education track will also provide ASE A-6 Electrical/Electronics Systems Exam-Training & Preparation. This exam is a critical component of the SEMA Installer Certification Program and provides necessary knowledge about basic theory, amperage, Ohms Law, and circuit-protection devices.
