Schaeffler Heads for Holiday Shutdowns

Anticipating continued weak automotive sector orders, Schaeffler may also cut most of its 1,700 temporary workers early next year.

Schaeffler Group, which is still working to complete its minority buy into Continental AG, plans to close its factories for an extended Christmas break and may reduce work hours due to reduced market demand.

ZF Cleans up Metro Park

This past weekend, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers' Cheryl Dry and Brenna McCann joined ZF Group to help clean up Stony Creek Metro Park in Shelby Township, Mich.

The effort was in line with ZF's dedication to sustainability, zero-waste, and circularity—which includes remanufacturing to reduce resource use and enable a second life for many products, the company said.
