Ride Control Solutions from KYB Getting Positive Results

ADDISON, IL — KYB is reporting “overwhelming” results from its “Ride Control Solutions from KYB” initiative. Launched this past August, this program was designed to provide technicians and service writers with methods and tools to increase shock and strut sales.

“We were quite pleased with the recognition and response Ride Control Solutions brought to us at AAPEX,” said KYB Director of Training “Mac” McGovern. “It is our aim to successfully train service dealers across North America to sell shocks and struts based on accurately evaluating the handling and control characteristics of the vehicle, and communicating that to the customer accurately, rather than simply trying to sell based on price.”

The results of individual service dealers utilizing KYB’s methods are fantastic, said KYB. According to the company, prior to implementing “Ride Control Solutions from KYB”, Action Gator Tire of Ocoee, FL, was selling 10 to 15 shocks and struts a month. KYB saw the potential to increase their business, and spent time training their technicians and service writers. By utilizing the KYB training and materials, the company said Action Gator Tire increased its shock and strut business to more than 120 units per month.

Action Gator Tire’s Jason Galarza commented, “Our technicians really like all of the illustrations on the worksheet and are using the worksheet on each and every road test they do.”
