Registration Open for MACS 2009 Convention and Trade Show

LANSDALE, Pa. – Registration for the MACS 2009 Convention and Trade Show is now open. The 29th annual MACS Convention and Trade Show is the only convention to offer 67 hours of mobile A/C and engine cooling system training and the chance to win a 2009 Ford Ranger truck. MACS New Frontiers in Mobile A/C Service will take place Feb. 5-7, 2009 at the Hilton Anatole, Dallas, Texas. Dallas is the birthplace of the U.S. mobile A/C aftermarket industry.

Convention programming will include both technical and business management presentations. John Anello of Auto Tech on Wheels, a master of mobile A/C diagnosis and scan tool operation, will explain the best use of scan tools and how to polish your diagnostic skills. David Cadden and Jim Johnson or Four Seasons will discuss eliminating the comeback on mobile A/C repairs. Mark Ingram of ACDelco will present on GM BCM diagnostics, John Meyers of Honeywell will deliver training on passenger car coolants and engine cooling systems. Dan Marinucci will teach a clinic on essential electrical checks highly focused on the basic series circuit. “G” Truglia will help you understand and diagnose hybrid vehicles. Glenn Young will tackle automatic temperature control system diagnosis.

There will be a full-day of heavy-duty and off-road technical programming with representatives from Red Dot, Caterpillar, CNH, DENSO, T/CCI Mfg. Ltd. You’ll also learn about diagnosing Freightliner M2 A/C system controls and the maintenance of diesel engine cooling systems. There will also be a class on J1939 CAN Bus Wiring used in heavy duty trucks and off-road equipment.

MACS will kick-off the convention with a motivational, informative and inspirational presentation with AMI approved instructor Kelly Bennett. Bennett will also lead a business session on increasing car count and making every car count. MACS Trade Show will be packed with mobile A/C and engine cooling vendors and there will be social events and plenty of time to network.

A 2009 Ford Ranger truck will be given away at 1:45pm CST on Feb. 7, 2009 at the show. You must be present to win. A complete set of rules for this drawing is on the MACS website at www.macsw.org. The drawing is open to attendees of the trade show. However, trade show exhibitors and their employees and representatives are not eligible for the drawing. All decisions of MACS with regard to the drawing are final.
