MCHENRY, IL – Six winners of the Brake Parts, Inc. Raybestos brand brakes “Race to Win” promotion recently enjoyed an all-expense paid trip to the heart of NASCAR country, where they had an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a race shop and drove stock cars at speeds of more than 150 mph around the world-famous Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

“Providing our customers with a chance to visit Charlotte, NC, and drive a NASCAR-style stock car at Lowe’s Motor Speedway is an exciting way to thank them for using Raybestos brand brakes,” said Ken Myers, marketing manager of branded products for Raybestos brand brakes. “We also took advantage of our time in the capital of NASCAR to provide the winners with a behind-the-scenes tour of Joe Gibbs Racing’s facilities, giving our customers an up-close look at one of NASCAR’s most successful teams,” Myers said.

Raybestos holds status as the official brakes of NASCAR, is an associate sponsor of Robert Yates Racing and is the title sponsor of NASCAR’s annual Raybestos Rookie of the Year competition.

For every set of Raybestos brand premium brake pads purchased, technicians and counterpeople received the chance to win thousands of prizes – DVD/VCR combos, XM radios – instantly and entry into a sweepstakes to win a Richard Petty Driving Experience at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Winners also received a facility tour with Raybestos brand brakes sister brand WIX Filters, which is used on nearly 100 percent of the cars in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. WIX Filters, headquartered in North Carolina, is a premium performance product of NASCAR and sponsor of NASCAR’s WIX Filters Lap Leader Award.

Winners included Dan Patton of Burlington, KY; Joseph Cheseldine of California, MD; John Whalen of Chittenango, NY; Patrick Smith of Tulsa, OK; Thomas Taylor of Fowlerville, MI; Gregory Hoke of Unadilla, NY; Luigi Piscitelli of Wallingford, CT; Twyla Emig of Salem, OR; and Michael Fleming of Vancouver, WA.
