Raybestos Brand Professional Grade Strut Assemblies Available Now

The total market size for struts, strut cartridges, strut assembles, components and hardware is up 22 percent since 2008, according to Affinia. Strut assemblies make up the fastest growing segment, up 92 percent since 2008.

MCHENRY, Ill. — The size of the strut assembly market is predicted to grow at a rate of 30 percent to 40 percent per year, according to Affinia, maker of the Raybestos Chassis brand. To help technicians increase their chassis business in the growing suspension parts market, the company has announced that Raybestos Professional Grade Strut Assemblies are now in stock and available.

“We constantly look for opportunities that align our customers’ needs with our brand and our product offering,” said Jeff Repaal, director of product development, Raybestos Chassis. “The ride control category has grown significantly during the past two years and presents a lucrative growth opportunity for our customers.”

The total market size for struts, strut cartridges, strut assembles, components and hardware is up 22 percent since 2008, the company said. Strut assemblies make up the fastest growing segment, Affinia added, up 92 percent since 2008.

Raybestos Professional Grade Strut Assemblies are comprised of premium parts that safely restore the ride control and braking effectiveness of a vehicle. The company said this complete assembly offers several advantages when compared to purchasing individual parts:

·    Complete – Assembly includes the strut, coil spring, bearing and strut mount
·    Fast – Ready to install… 5 bolts off and 5 bolts on
·    Easy – No need to look up parts individually
·    Safe – Fully assembled struts are safer than assembling the components individually, with no spring compressor required
·    Accurate – Provide a more accurate repair, eliminating the need for the technician to be concerned with “clocking or indexing”
·    Productive – Using an assembled strut, spring and mount reduces bay time for installation by up to 30 percent

Raybestos Professional Grade Strut Assembly product features include:

·    Premium strut mount
·    Powder-coated springs for corrosion resistance and longer life
·    Seamless pressure tubes for strength and durability
·    Low-pressure gas charged units
·    Powdered metal pistons provide precision tolerances for crisp blow-off valving
·    High performance oil for consistent damping force throughout operating temperature range
·    OE manufactured single lip seals for good rod reaction and reduced friction
·    Exterior powder coat for corrosion resistance and long life
·    Firm and stable ride for improved vehicle dynamics

In addition, all products are manufactured to TS and ISO Certification Standards. The company notes that they are produced from high-grade raw materials under a performance-proven manufacturing process and the designs are benchmarked to OE form, fit and function. Each lot is traced and process controlled, and every part is quality tested and fleet proven, the company said.
