Private Investment Firm Acquires Kraco Enterprises

BOCA RATON, Fla. — An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners private investment firm has acquired Kraco Enterprises Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of automotive aftermarket floor mats as well as cargo floor mats for vehicle, home and shop use.

Founded in 1954, Kraco operates a 500,000-square-foot facility in Compton, Calif.

Kraco’s products are distributed to more than 15,000 auto supply and general merchandise retail stories in the U.S. and Canada. In 2009, Kraco plans to introduce a full line of environmentally-friendly "Eco Mats" made from recycled materials.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

ZF Aftermarket announced it launched 36 new part numbers for a variety of braking, suspension and transmission components for passenger cars in the United States and Canda (USC) aftermarket. This includes 10 new part numbers for SACHS Continuous Damping Control (CDC) shock absorbers, bringing the total number launched this year to 60.
