Prestolite Electric Joins the OptiCat Network

The JNPSoft OptiCat network provides a secure, supplier-controlled mechanism for distributing proprietary data.

JNPSoft OptiCat announced that Prestolite Electric has joined the OptiCat Network. As the heavy-duty aftermarket community continues to embrace data standards, more and more heavy-duty truck parts data receivers are requesting high quality digital product data and images that conforms to industry data standards. The JNPSoft OptiCat network provides a cloud-based, secure, supplier-controlled distribution mechanism for distribution of proprietary data to specifically chosen channel partners within the supply chain.

Prestolite Electric Inc. is a global manufacturer of alternators, starters and new-energy solutions and specialty rotary electric. Prestolite Electric North American facilities manufacture and distribute rotating electrical products. The facilities are located in Michigan and New York, OptiCat said.

“We’re excited about our new partnership with JNPSoft OptiCat,” said Jonathan Smith, business development manager and marketing manager, Prestolite Electric/Leece-Neville Heavy-Duty Systems. “We’re looking forward to providing Heavy Duty parts professionals all of the parts data and images for our rotating electrical products.”

Don McEntee, JNPSoft OptiCat sales director – strategic accounts, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Prestolite Electric into the OptiCat Network. They have great digital content, and we are looking forward to helping them sell more parts by easily sharing their data with their customers.”
