Polk, Schwartz Advisors Announce Strategic Alliance

Premier provider of automotive information and marketing solutions and leading automotive aftermarket M&A advisory and consulting firm form strategic alliance.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. and SAN DIEGO – Polk and Schwartz Advisors have announced the formation of a strategic marketing alliance that will benefit clients for both companies. Polk and Schwartz Advisors are both well-known for informed, reliable and insightful understanding of the vehicle aftermarket. The two companies say their new alliance will provide a platform to work together to better support clients.

Polk has been providing vehicle data to the industry for decades and is a leading provider of registration-based vehicles in operation (VIO) information to the aftermarket industry. Schwartz Advisors is one of the leading advisers to private equity firms and aftermarket companies on strategic planning and M&A topics.

The main focus of the Polk/Schwartz Advisors relationship will be to better serve clients undergoing mission-critical decisions about their businesses, based on accurate VIO data and a deep understanding of trends and direction for the automotive aftermarket.

“Polk is known for providing clients with informed and accurate information that has a direct impact on their bottom line. Our industry-leading marketing solutions begin with the most robust automotive information available. The Schwartz Advisors team includes some of the most respected names in the aftermarket, and we look forward to working with them on future projects,” said Mark Seng, global aftermarket practice leader for Polk. “This is a win-win for the clients of both organizations.”

“The Schwartz Advisors team has a comprehensive understanding of all aftermarket categories that comes from our experience running aftermarket companies, involvement in industry trade associations and as an adviser to aftermarket companies and private equity firms. The Polk relationship provides a greater degree of data access and analysis for our clients,” said Rick Schwartz, managing partner at Schwartz Advisors.

Polk and Schwartz Advisors will remain independent organizations; however, the two companies say the strategic alliance will allow clients of both businesses to access the respective resources and talent that each has to offer.
