Pirelli Names VP of Advertising, PR and Motorsports

Pirelli Tire North America (PTNA) has appointed Peter Tyson vice president, advertising, public relations and motorsports. Tyson was hired by Pirelli UK as director of marketing in 1984 and helped revitalize the then-ailing Pirelli brand. In 1993, Tyson was promoted to the position of director of global brand support at Pirelli Pneumatici S.p.A.

ROME, GA — Pirelli Tire North America (PTNA) has appointed Peter Tyson vice president, advertising, public relations and motorsports. Tyson was hired by Pirelli UK as director of marketing in 1984 and helped revitalize the then-ailing Pirelli brand. In 1993, Tyson was promoted to the position of director of global brand support at Pirelli Pneumatici S.p.A.

Throughout his career, Tyson has organized international press conferences and product launches involving multi-language press, dealer presentations and product demonstrations in locations as Lisbon, Barcelona, Milan, Las Vegas, Sao Paulo, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and, most recently, at the Road Atlanta race track, near Pirelli’s North American headquarters in Rome, Ga.

“Right now, my total focus is on helping Guy Mannino, president and CEO of PTNA, to expand Pirelli’s business interests in North America,” said Tyson.
