FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Philips Automotive North America has launched its latest Automotive Lighting Application Catalog for replacement and upgrade bulbs as well as automotive accessories. It covers applications for all types of domestic and import cars, SUVs, light trucks and vans from model years 1999 to 2013, while the Philips Classic Catalog offers coverage from 1969 to 1998. All of the replacement and upgrade bulb listings are presented in a tri-lingual format.

The new catalog features product overviews and specifications for Philips’ Premium Upgrade Headlight Bulb line, including Philips Vision, which provides 30 percent more light; Philips VisionPlus, offering 60 percent more light; Philips X-tremeVision, which can deliver up to 100 percent more light than a standard halogen headlight bulb; and Philips CrystalVision Ultra, a xenon-powered halogen headlight bulb for drivers who are looking to add style and performance to their vehicle with the bright white look of HID.

The catalog also showcases and details the new packaging designs that are being used for the Philips Premium Upgrade Headlight Bulb line. The new eye-catching packaging is designed to help improve the product’s retail performance by making it easier for consumers to find the bulb that best fits their needs and make a quicker buying decision. It also provides a clear and unobstructed view of the product, delivers simplified information on performance level and application, and clarifies the value in both the safety benefits and performance advantages that drivers can expect to receive when they upgrade their lighting with Philips Premium Upgrade Headlight Bulbs.

In addition to headlighting, Philips also brings improved lighting with its new line of Philips X-tremeVision LED lighting for both interior and exterior applications. Philips offers street-legal applications for stop, tail, and back-up lighting with its new line of Philips X-tremeVision LED exterior lighting. These innovative Philips X-tremeVision LED exterior bulb replacements use high-powered LEDs to deliver five times more light output than standard incandescent bulbs, while using 13 times less energy.

Designed as direct replacements for original equipment, Philips X-tremeVision LED interior and exterior lighting are heat-resistant and offer a perfect fit in the vehicle’s existing bulb socket. With a life expectancy of up to 12 years, the new Philips LED lights will last substantially longer than traditional bulbs.

Other products highlighted in the catalog include the new Philips Windshield Treatment Kit and the Philips Headlight Restoration Kit; a full name-brand commercial offering of standard OE replacement headlight bulbs and miniatures; a bulb cabinet program for service professionals; and the Philips MotoVision headlight bulbs for motorcycles.

The catalog features an interchange, which makes LED interior and exterior lamps application and selection easier. Philips has also provided special sections for U.S.-to-foreign interchange, European/Japanese interchange, motorcycle application listings and Mexican market applications.
